I'm trying to update my world database the the world_info sql, but when I try to I get this error.
[Err] 1054 - Unknown column 'required_quest' in 'worldmap_info'
[Err] ALTER TABLE `worldmap_info` ADD COLUMN `required_quest_2` INT(10) UNSIGNED DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL AFTER `required_quest_1`, CHANGE `required_quest` `required_quest_1` INT(10) UNSIGNED DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL;
[Msg] Finished - Unsuccessfully

I am not sure how to fix this. Please help I have made a server before but never ran into this problem.

We're more than happy to help you, however without providing details it's somewhat hard to...

The db update queries assume that you have a specific database structure, if you don't, they will fail, just like in your case.
So whatever you were doing, you probably messed something up.

The 'required_quest' now longer exists in ArcEmu. It was split into 'required_quest_1' and 'required_quest_2'.

Thanks to a friend, You can try this SQL to fix your issue. Works perfect with ArcEmu.

Also where is this, "world_info.sql" located?

He was trying to run an SQL that renames that column.
Without knowing what he was trying to execute it over, there's no way to help him.

I have some idea what is going on there. You tried to run the Arcemu database updates from \arcemu\sql\world_updates but the database was already up to date and so you got error because the column that the sql was trying to rename was already renamed. Always check world_db_version when you do fresh install of the world db in order to see if the updates from your core repo where added. I am guessing you use loe db, right? Then you don't need to run any of these files, because the database is currently up to date. You will however need to change the value in world_db_version in order to start your server to "2012-08-14_21-25_worldmap_info" because it was most probably changed during your attempts to update the db.

Better reimport the original database, because the updates might have messed up the structure, if your assumption is right.

Possibly. Better off into doing that so no missing information is known to be found out.

Yes, you can also reimport the world db. Although the current updates aren't that dangerous in terms of messing up anything it is still a good idea to do a clean db install.
