It tried to fix the spell 62050 in c++. But failed from beginning. :D

Here some prototype code:

bool somefunction(uint32 i, Spell* pSpell)
{
  printf("Test spell 62050");
  // some other code
  return true;
}
...
...
mgr->register_dummy_spell(62050, &somefunction);

Unfortunately the script manager (ScriptMgr.cpp) warns about this spell at this line:
if(!sp->HasEffect(SPELL_EFFECT_DUMMY) && !sp->HasEffect(SPELL_EFFECT_SCRIPT_EFFECT) && !sp->HasEffect(SPELL_EFFECT_SEND_EVENT))
		LOG_ERROR("ScriptMgr has registered a dummy handler for Spell ID: %u ( %s ), but spell has no dummy/script/send event effect!", entry, sp->Name);

And the spell doesn't call my function.

But ...
... if I try to do this Lua script:

function Spell(event, pPlayer, SpellId, pSpellObject)
	print("Spell: "..SpellId)
end

RegisterServerHook(SERVER_HOOK_CAST_SPELL, "Spell")

Than the spell ID 62050 appears in the console if I do the spell (cooking)

So, what I'm doing wrong in c++ ? And what is the meaning of 'has no dummy/script/send event effect!'

You don't know what a spell effect is, or what are you actually asking?

I wanted to know why the spell 62050 is triggering in Lua but not with c++ in the core.

I do the spell in the client and can catch it with a Lua function.

But not in the core. The core throws an error.

Because you caught it with the cast spell server hook in Lua, but you tried to catch it with a spell effect handler for an effect it doesn't have in C++.

can you explain, whats wrong with this spell?
because by http://www.wowhead.com/spell=62050 it just simply should create item and kill credit effects, which as base are already implemented.

i know, that wowhead data could be wrong, because its cataclysm and even in archive it could hold wrong info, but can't look to dbcs atm - not at home.

Yes, it should do 2 things:

Create an item (Spice Bread Stuffing) and add it to your bag. This is working.

And it should give you Kill Credit (34737). This controls if you have cooked the Spice Bread Stuffing yourself. And not traded f.ex.
This credit is not counted.

Pilgrim's Bounty has a lot of similar quests, f.ex. this: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=14023

Without both conditions set true you can't finish the quest. However I deleted the 2nd requirement on our server ;)

Then the Kill Credit spell effect doesn't work right.
However that's NOT a dummy effect. That"s why you are getting the error message when starting the server.
