I'm guessing that by deleting unnecessary items, unused accounts in mysql will increase server performance? or it got nothing to do with it.... Has anyone tried this or comfirm on this?

What performance and why do you want to increase?
What are you trying to actually do?

I don't think that it will increase server performance significant.
Because all the db stuff is loaded in the beginning into your memory. Once it's in, it doesn't matter really a lot regarding the speed and looking at CPU and RAM of actual machines.

Edit: However cleaning your database of unnecessary stuff makes your database easier to maintain

I see, well I'm actually working on my server like now using arcemu of course, it won't be public yet. I just want to make sure that everything is ready. I"m trying to optimize it as much as I can so that it won't crash often. If you guys got any good tips on how to avoid server crash, it'll be much appreciated.

Server crashes are not related to server performance, unless you host Arcemu on some cheap VPS.
Server crashes are because of bad code, like Lua scripts that pass units as parameters to timed events.

I agree with dfighter and have to say the most thing I like on ArcEmu, it's the fact that it runs very stable.

You may miss a lot of features and there is still a lot of work to do, but if you run it just as it is, it can run for weeks without any crash.

Ok thx guys, I think I get it now. I guess bottom line is don't mess with the scripts too much by adding custom lua or anything like that

Get back to me on this when you have 1000-2000 players :D

I know what you mean, but it's senseless to think about that, because servers with such a lot of players are so rare and they are normally not using Arcemu. For servers of 50-100 players I think it works really quite well.
Personally for me a stable server goes over a full featured server. Players may can miss some scripts but they never forgive if they get disconnected every 10 minutes.
