Alright, so i went to compile ArcEmu on a Debian VPS, however it didn't go that well. I got to the part to use CMake and i did like this:
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/home/risingwow/server -DBUILD_LUAENGINE=TRUE -DBUILD_LUABRIDGE=FALSE

however it came with this error:
CMake Error: Error in cmake code at
/home/risingwow/risingemu/installer/risingemu/trunk/cmake/CMakeLists.txt:25:
Parse error. Expected "(", got unquoted argument with text "apple.".

i don't understand CMake soo :3

You should ask risingemu for support, not us.
We only provide support for Arcemu.

It is not, however I the stupid programmer use folder names that reflect their content.
If you use some xyzemu or abcdcore (or similar) name for the folder that tells me that you probably forked the project.
Also

Quote

trunk/cmake/CMakeLists.txt:25

for me this line is
		SET( GLOBAL_DEFINES ${GLOBAL_DEFINES} "-DUSE_KQUEUE")

It has nothing that says "apple" in this line...

Ok well this is weird.
Anyhow you need to provide more info...
Like OS version and CMake version.... How do you expect to get help without these? :(

Well surely you don't try to tell me that you don't know how to use your own VPS?
How do you expect to run a server if you can't even get the version of your programs? o.O

I am using the VPS for hosting a server, not for getting the version of the installed programs.

Surely you must realize that getting the version of programs is very basic knowledge...
Learn how to use your VPS then come back and post the version of your CMake then we will see how we can help you :(

Then you have a problem. Arcemu requires at least CMake 2.8 :(
You should uninstall your version and get a newer one.

Oh, that may be the problem xD

Thank you a lot ^^

However, do you know how to get any version of CMake over 2.6 in Debian 5?

The same way you would get any other software?
Download it from their site and install it?
Oh I forgot you have the VPS to run a server not to install things, right? :(

( Btw this might help, altough I wrote this for CentOS but it should still be helpful http://arcemu.org/wi...S#CMake_install )
