Zack,What db you use? Do you inplement Sun++ scripting?

I use some old rusty ABD (yeah it is a testserver so there is no big point of updating that)
No scripts, no collision, no compression ... this is purely to catch core bugs.
Using 9k ai_agents to increase spell crash chances.

Stable branch ? Well i would like to get confirmation from bigger servers java script:ShowHide('qr_open','qr_closed');then my 250 player test one :)

All revs are unstable with 500 + players none is able to endure 3 hours and that theirs would endure nearly 10 to 15 hours with 500 + players

yes, sometimes servers crash and dnt create crash dumps. I test ncdb and wydb. I think we should focus only in stability seriously.

We? Why dont you care in stability issues of your "own" emu (arcemu with your servers name)?

Indeed. There is nothing more disappointing than to see some server owner rename or completely remove the server message you receive at log on.

That does not mean it is stable, stable means over those of 500 or 700 players

unfortunately, i don't have that amount of players.
but i am sure that r659 can stay up for few days even with 500 players.
the only problem i have is the high memory usage.
the old ascent revisions never used more then 600 ~ 700 ram, but arcemu is using more then 1300 ram.

Latest revision has some serious memory leaks due to the new instance code. Once the server loads about 200,000 characters memory usage hits around 1.5gb, and keeps going up until it hits 2gb, which then of course you get out of memory error (32bit OS limitation), so yeah, the new instance code needs to be fixed.

Hey guys, why are the Rev's always Crashing down? Every 5 - 10 minutes on Rev 700 - 719 it crashes and then you can't get it back up for like 20 minutes, then it crashes. What Rev is the best right now? The 700+'s suck...

Well I decided about a month or so ago to just give up on open source emulators... Honestly I had hope in this one but there certainly is not enough focus on stability. Eventually I just took rev 127 and started making my own changes to it :P

Wish I didnt have to do that though.. Would love to get some of the new features from Arc but if It cant be online for an hour there is no way.

Ultimately if developers are not concentrated in the stability and the optimization of the new systems that implement, I see a black future for Arcemu. They should stop moving and settle the largest number of falls possible in order to continue if not so can hardly achieve a stable server

using r659 and so far everything is brilliant i even have all 3 BG's running. Uptime 2 hours with 300 online. If you want to create a stable branch this revision would be a great start.
