Maybe dfighter know something more :-P

I'm trying to learn Python atm because I found and that I think c++ is actually to hard for me at the moment. Yes I have books for both languages so atleast I'm trying :)

Learning a programming language is a good start, gives you the idea of how the development process work, which steps we take (and which infos we need) to fix issues and how hard is to even solve the most "easy-looking" problem (those are the most nasty!!).
If after that you still want to improve your knowledge to become an ArcEmu developer (or even just tester/bug finder which requires less knowledge than a full experienced developer), I suggest to first learn C and then move to C++ , at least this was my experience and it worked good. This may sound too long and time ecpensive to do but hey, the sooner you start the sooner you reach your goal :)

I understand basic things in c++, like the variables, while, if, for and so on. But not really much more. I could write a basic programm for calculating stuff but very limited. I read every commit on arc and try to understand what you did exactly but it is hard.

Probably I will have a work experience in a big german development company in december :-) I will use the experience I become there to learn a little bit more how programming works and until then I will learn more Python and maybe a little more c++ :-)

I will try to give a few more bug reports as I discover nearly every day new bugs but I'm too lazy to report everyone of them :-/ I will try to do better next time :-P

Wish me luck^^

Anyone playing around with it yet?
I know it's not done yet, but still some feedback would be nice.

1.) Sometimes that happens, I don't exactly know why, it has something to do with the worldstates packets, somehow they are sent wrong. I will have to further investigate that.
2.) is a database issue, if you set the siege engine to the right faction the buildings will start getting damage.
3.) Yes I noticed that one, however that's a spell issue not a BG one :lol: Thanks anyways ^^

Btw right now I am working on spawning the vehicles when capturing workshop and/or docks. It's soon done.

More feedback :lol:

In the preparation for war, the towers doors should be closed

edit:

Maybe its a good idea if the canons are root by the core or add some query for the newies :P

UPDATE `creature_proto` SET `rooted` = '1' WHERE `entry` = '34944';

Yes but that is a db issue, I will soon write up and post the db queries I've used to make stuff work "properly" ( like vehicle ids, vehicle accessories, vehicle spells, etc )

EDIT:

UPDATE IGNORE `creature_proto` SET `vehicleid` = '435', `spell1`= '67819', `spell2` = '69502' WHERE `entry` IN ( '34776', '35069' );
UPDATE IGNORE `creature_proto` SET `vehicleid` = '436', `spell1`= '69505', `spell2` = '67462' WHERE `entry` IN ( '34777', '36355' );
UPDATE IGNORE `creature_proto` SET `vehicleid` = '436', `spell1` = '68832' WHERE `entry` IN ( '34778', '36356' );
UPDATE IGNORE `creature_proto` SET `rooted` = '1' WHERE `entry` = '34944';
REPLACE INTO `vehicle_accessories` (`creature_entry`,`accessory_entry`,`seat`) VALUES( '35069', '36356', '1' );
REPLACE INTO `vehicle_accessories` (`creature_entry`,`accessory_entry`,`seat`) VALUES( '35069', '36356', '2' );
REPLACE INTO `vehicle_accessories` (`creature_entry`,`accessory_entry`,`seat`) VALUES( '35069', '36355', '7' );
REPLACE INTO `vehicle_accessories` (`creature_entry`,`accessory_entry`,`seat`) VALUES( '34776', '34778', '1' );
REPLACE INTO `vehicle_accessories` (`creature_entry`,`accessory_entry`,`seat`) VALUES( '34776', '34778', '2' );
