yehh i tryed penguin cms tbh it is nice enough but i realy dont like it ;)

so it is time to bite the bullet i been tryin to work out what is wrong with this
sodding code an had next to no luck so here are the relivant lines of coding...

Header linses of code

Quote

PHP Notice: in file /includes/session.php on line 1006:

		header('Set-Cookie: ' . $name_data . (($cookietime) ? '; expires=' . $expire : '') . '; path=' . $config['cookie_path'] . $domain . ((!$config['cookie_secure']) ? '' : '; secure') . '; HttpOnly', false);

Quote

PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3863:

	header('Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8');

as for the config file i carnt even work out what config file it is going on about as the config int eh root does not even
have a line 19 loooool go figure

The tools error's
the errors change slightly now with me fiddling arround the last part on the agreement screen changes when you accept now :)
sorry been trying myself )

this is the mssg for these lines of code

Quote

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(..\Server\tmp\sess_ec9122eacdd018c9114270884757d67a, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php on line 2

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php:2) in D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php on line 2

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php:2) in D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php on line 2

session_start();

this one realy confuses me :S

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php:2) in D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php on line 8

setcookie(agreement, 0);

then when you click agree on the agreement page the Warning: Cannot modify header information message changes to these 2

Quote

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php:2) in D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php on line 5

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php:2) in D:\Cyber City Server\Server\htdocs\tools\agreement.php on line 6

	setcookie(agreement, 1);
	header( 'Location: index.php' );

and at this point you get a white screen :S

now for the ACP ****

when i go to the ACP i get the PHPBB admin page but there is no options there
just the heading there :) with teh errors lol

Quote

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 150: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /config.php:19)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 152: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /config.php:19)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 153: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /config.php:19)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 154: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /config.php:19)

	header('Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8');

	header('Cache-Control: private, no-cache="set-cookie"');
	header('Expires: 0');
	header('Pragma: no-cache');

Each error talks about the config.php file but i carnt find the file it reffers to as the main cfg file does not even have 19 lines in it :S

Now i use Notpad++ to edit all my files so iff i got the line numbers wrong i am sorry
but i am trying to find solutions only just found this program for viewing the files as
well thanx to some one els post on a diffrent forums :)

thanx for any help offerd

PHP can send header information for only as long as there is no page content sent to the browser already. (o mi engrish)

i think it should be "config.php" ? a wild guess i know... :)

and again, If you are using cookie-based sessions, you must call session_start() before anything is outputted to the browser. Remember that header() must be called before any actual output is sent, either by normal HTML tags, blank lines in a file, or from PHP. It is a very common error to read code with include(), or require(), functions, or another file access function, and have spaces or empty lines that are output before header() is called. The same problem exists when using a single PHP/HTML file.

this ofc is a little more serious and something i cannot help you with imo...

if you found that useful, rep me lol

-edit: no, a thought occurs. don't rep me. learn about php. That would be even better :)

for the header files errors you just have to go into the site directory and open config.php and delte the two BLANK LINES at the bottom... someone said this in the beginning of the thread...

Hey guys

i know this tred is proberly dead but i started using this site a while ago and
appart from a few small tweeks i am still using it i rather like it tbh.
however i need a bit of help frim some one that knows more than i do :)

i am trying to make a new block for the portal to include my mumble server
i can get the php, java or html code for the block and i have tryed to make
the block myself but so far i have gotten is the mumble info appering above the
header of my site....

can any one give me some basic info on how to do this...

many thanx guys :(

Edit:
my best sucsess so far hase been to make a PHP file in the blocks add it to the
portal.php list withe the contents
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="http://viewer.mymumble.de/?js&i=82"></script>

now this gives me a few lines of error code in the header along with the mumble block i am trying to show on the left panel

wild guess without info?

you should place the javascript into a suitable element and not on top of the page?

first for us to be able to help you you would need to explain what you mean with "php block" as it imo is not a specific part of the general php syntax. It more sounds like your own terminology so i don't quite get what you are even trying to do there. That's why i said: "wild guess".

so you see, the 3 blank lines were producing your error. (Remember that header() must be called before any actual output is sent, either by normal HTML tags, blank lines in a file, or from PHP)

nice it did help you...! so.. i was.. helpful as ever again? :(

Why does the Readme have the wrong usrname and password for the news? I can't login. Tried at least 30 times. Even with the username given in the MySQL database.
