Hello. I'm Murloc Server. I have my own server in progres.

I'm here to talk about My SQL. Are you borred of going onto finding MySQL - Start/Stop?

Here is my guide how to NOT DO IT everytime you run your server.

1. Download My SQL 5
http://www.brothersoft.com/mysql-72134.html

2. Run Setup. Chose Typical. Wait for instal.

3. After Setup is complete, you will be asked do you want to run "MySQL Server instance configuration wizzard" chose yes!

4. Chose "Standard Configuration" NEXT, chose "My SQL 5" NEXT, enter username and password to your database. (root - ascent for ArcEmu, if it's not that try ascent - rot)

5. EXECUTE

6. Wait for execution. It will take few moments or minutes.

7. After you completed and finaly done. Do not think it's all over!

8. Go to your My SQL 5 instalation folder. Open up DATA folder.

9. Go to your REPACK folder. Go to My SQL folder and look for DATA folder. Copy LOGON and WORLD to My SQL 5 DATA FOLDER

10. Restart your computer.

11. Run NaviCat or whatever you use for your database!

Enjoy the unlimited MySQL! :)

Hope it helped.

Here's the thing... MySQL is meant to be installed and run as a service.

Those of us who don't use repacks almost never have to worry about starting or stopping MySQL.

Since ArcEmu does not encourage or support the use of repacks, this guide is thoroughly useless.

There's an easier way, in which you do the procedure once. To, as Ron Popeil is fond of saying "set it and forget it!"

MySQL.com has instructions on how to download MySQL from them and how to install it the right way.

What are you talking about an invisible needle for? MySQL is easy to install and operate if you use the method the original creators intended. The way repacks do it now is a way MySQL can run, not the way it's meant to be.

Download MySQL, double click the installer msi, "next next next next".
