i only get, "failed items"... but the normal item leecher/grabber works..

Few bug reports

SQL comes up with errors. An example

Also the same item above "46109" refuses to be added to the database, claiming it already exists in the database, which it doesn't. I've checked, rebooted etc. to make completely sure. So not sure if it's a bugged item or an app bug.

The multi item section does work, though at one point it began to fail, reporting the mysql database was offline. Which it wasn't. This was some time after I'd been using your app. So possibly a time out which disconnected it from the database?


Other than that though, you're doing awesome work. Don't stop, loving it!

in the description is also a ' so i need to convert all descriptions like the name from ' to \'s.
I am slo reworking the multiple item adder.

So i will release it soon !

Edit : Update available to fix the latest report and some other fixes.

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37335 is a weird thing, it cannot be found somehow/added ?
Same for http://www.wowhead.com/?item=46319, some weird **** xD maybe because allakazam doesnot have them ?

there was a ' in the description.
I needed to change it to \'

Teaches you how to summon a Sea Turtle mount.  This mount can\'t move very quiclky on land, but she's a great swimmer.

There was other items that were added without problems a few versions back, which also included the '. Does that mean you have to fix each one that crops up like that, individually? Damn, you deserve a medal then lol.

What does it do when it doesn't work?

Because it does work, it just has a few hiccups. But I've a much larger items table now because of it, so I know it can work. It just needs some sort of feedback so you know for sure it's working (the counter is a little unpredictable due to the app becoming unresponsive until it's done)

Are you doing large ranges and not giving it time to finish? Try smaller ranges of a couple of hundred or less items and see what happens.

Have you added your user/pass/db/port correctly?

Are you refreshing your items database via Heidi or phpmyadmin or Navcat etc. To make sure it's not adding anything? Sometimes it's silent as in it wont tell you it's added anything, when it has. So you need to check yourself.

Are you doing too large ranges of items? It doesn't seem to like to do it all at once. Anything more than a range of 500 items at a time seems to stop it working (possibly getting blocked from the site for leeching).

Are you getting lots of fails because you're running it through ranges of items you already have?

Are you setting up ranges that don't exist on the site itself? I think the items stop around 48699 give or take a few.

Do you have custom items in your database blocking things because they're using id's real items should be using?

I know peoplez hate threading, but putting all the grabbing and SQL writing code in a separate thread will allow you to have little lag in the interface.

No sure if it's still under work, but the multi item function ran for a full 18 hours (while my server was shut down) I ran 1 - 99999 and still many items are missing.

somehow the multi item grabber just freezes up @ windows 7 X64 in version 1.10, it worked nicely @ rev. 1.0 - 1.09 ??
