Back in 2008 there was an opensource server "GlobalWoW" with a unique land buying system among other things and it was shut down in 2009 and i've decided to contuine the development of the code recently as I am the only developer of it that still has the source code from the svn that has long been down. This is a GM server mod where players can use GM commands only in certain areas of the map. Players use the .buyland command somewhere on the map (where it's still free) and then become the "owner" of that part of the map. The owned land is an area of around 80x80 units and 20x20 in cities. It's saved in the database and only the owner can use GM commands on that piece of land. The owner can then spawn npc and gameobjects to make constructions. This way players can build their nice creations and others can't destroy it. Of course the number of stuff you can spawn is limited.

Players can spawn vendors on their land and add them any wow item. Players can also spawn trainers and add them any wow spell. Gm spells can only be used on players own land and in instances. These lands can be setup individually as pve, pvp or arena. Players need to renew their ownership from time to time to get rid of one timer players.

there is much more stuff in there than just land system (3.3.3, fake players, char customization, achievements disabled...)

I know, i forgot to mention it was for 3.3.3, I forgot to remove the fake players and char customization. The achievements are disabled because with a server running a core like this it's useless.

Eh Terrorblade wasn't the creator of the land buying system, he joined the project after it was made and went open source. When he joined he fixed the many flaws it had like the ffa flag you gained on arena set land not going away and many more things. The project died around 3.2.2 he seems to have cleaned up a lot of the code since then. Also the svn was deleted after he had no time to work on it more.

"fixed many flaws" and "Terrorblade" in the same sentence should be separated by "added by", nothing else. If you look at our svn changelog you'll find some nice "issue added in rXYZ, thanks Terrorblade for adding the issue" :)
also out of curiousity, are you a C++ programmer, Prisoner Zero?

I'm still having nightmares because of Terrorblade's code.
He got his name because of his code.
When you read his code, it feels like someone stabs you in the eye with blades, and it feels your heart with Terror.

Besides he is banned anyways, so he can't reply.
