Well, in the DBC tables I've looked at the only changes Blizz made was to add columns. I can't imagine that they would've done much different with the WDBs.
GAH!!! >_< ...can't...just...stop...working...

What's the point of making a database project if you don't know how the emulator uses the data in the first place, let alone the fact that I doubt your team has any programmers who can make tools to perform a certain job.

Contribution to an excisting project would be a better solution rather than forking every project you see.

WhyDB has Ulduar spawned with loots.

Are you creating loots one by one?

And, making items? there are a million ways to get items, creating them is fail...
WhyDB has also the 3.2 items, and will have all the items sniffed soon.

i hope this database will become one of the main databases for ArcEmu and will make us very stable :P

i hope so xD

Not only NCDB, but most of the "STILL Continuing Projects" are using Sniffers to get Blizzard Values, You can't expect any Dev or me from Squire-DB to go on websites like wowallahkazam or wowhead and make fresh new Sqls for every new item. Thats just stupid, not always blizzlike and 3) a sign of you not having a social life :P hehehe

And many Dbs like RivalDB which actually stole everything from UDB just shut down in the end.

I for one was doing a lot of manual fixes that no tools can do mate. You'll always need the human element ! o_O

I have one question, after you get the info from a WDB file then what do you do? ;) because adding all that info to a DB doesn't seem phesable.

I don't know about the Rival part, mate, I did essentially all of the things I committed myself.

But to be honest, the main point is right - you can't go on Wowhead or Allakhazam or any of those other sites and expect to get Blizzlike data. To do that you want to parse the WDB files or sniff the packets - and those are tools that you're either going to need to find (which isn't necessarily easy) or write them (which might actually be easier than finding them).

People seem to think that all you need in order to create a worthwhile database is knowledge of SQL's syntax, but that's not nearly enough. You need to know how to get the right data in the right way, and that's a lot harder than those people realize. Knowing a programming language - and I mean a real one, not PHP or a scripting language - is essential.

Also, you can never be 100% done with anything unless you have an exact copy of Blizzard's data - and I'm sure none of us have that.

If you don't have the tools and knowledge, how on earth are you going to make a database?
Programming knowledge is required if you're planning on becoming a Blizzlike and successfull database project, keeping in mind you're capable of collection the data you need.

All these 3.2 items are included in last WhyDB revision.

2 Dfighter - yes we are using sniffer too. I think that every better DB project is using it. Its needed for blizzlike dataz, websites like wowhead may have some mistakes.

except dfighter, there is just ONE database developer with a brain?
