Hi all, and let me say so far, that being the very first to try out a WoW daemon I chose ArcEmu! SO far i am extremely pleased! I successfully compiled the latest version on my macbook pro and I have people in my house playing on it now! A couple of things I have noticed though and was wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction. I noticed that whenever I do .mod hp # # the value doesn't save when I log out. Everyone else in the house experience the same issue. Stats like agility doesn't get updated too as well! I have checked the WIKI and various posts here and not a single mention of this issue. Oh and get this! If i modify the HP in the "characters" table it reverts back to the same HP amount! THe HP I am adding is well below the HP limit in the world.conf file. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? Or maybe it is just some WEIRDNESS going on my part! Thanks for readaaaaang! -John

The .mod command outputs are not permanent, meaning anything you modify with the .mod command on a player will normally revert.

HP is calculated at each login as Base HP (based on level, race, class) and bonuses (talents, items, buffs), so what you modify in the database is not the max health so if it's greater than the max one, it will be clamped (like what happens in your case). This happens with all stats (agility, mana, intellect, etc etc). This is why .mod hp doesn't save it. Things that may look like "issues" to users are instead just how they work.

Armor (and custom items) are one way, the other one could be a script with OnLogin() or OnPlayerPushToWorld() hooks that would modify the HP to what you want (note, those are pseudo hooks, I dunno their names right now).
