hello all from russia.

i have little noobie question (i swear i did search on forum and wiki)

how to execute/run next lua script
for ex. i found on forum script for scripts reloading

function ReloadScript_ChatHook(event, player, message, type, language)
        local _, end_index = message:find("#reloadlua")
        if (end_index) and (player:IsGm() == true) then
                local path = message:sub(end_index+2)
                if path ~= "" then
                        player:SendBroadcastMessage("Reloading " .. path .. ".")
                        dofile("scripts/" .. path .. "")
                else
                        player:SendBroadcastMessage("No specified file.")
                end
        end
end

RegisterServerHook(16, "ReloadScript_ChatHook")

i have create reloadlua.lua on /scripts and seems like from ingame i should type in chat #reloadlua but nothing happened #reloadlua .reloadlua etc.
server console same.

also i dont have LUAScripting.dll on C:/arcemu/modules/
i am full newbie on LUA, sorry =( should i download LUAScripting.dll from internet or it should be compiled with server side?

You are supposed to have a LUAEngine.dll in your modules folder, and it is compiled with the server.
You can reload the Lua scripts from the server consolue use the "reloadscripts" command.

thanks i found it while site was unavailable. but for some reason the source .sln dont compile LUAEngine.dll. i did it separatelly from LuaEngine.sln, all work perfect.

i have next interesting question, how to execute lua script from c++ server?
i want to handle some moments on lua. opcode -> c++ -> lua(params)

Yes normally if your luaEngine is setup correctly invoking "#reloadlua" should do the script files: dofile("scripts/" .. path .. "")

But please notice that there is even already such a command for arcemu accessible which has been described by dfighter:

further calling Lua functions from c++ is said to be very simple. If that actually is so in arcemu? no clue. I have not looked into it but guessing the codebase should provide convenient ways to do so...?

luaL_loadfile ?
lua_pcall ?
