i dont have any idea what software is being used to capture data packets sent from servers to the game clients and for sending your own modified packets to test if you got the right packets figured out, some software and tutorial links would be nice mostly i just have been looking for years for someone to make a server program for
Sierra's "The Realm Online" www . realmserver . com
its a very simple 2d game if anyone knows of a project like arcemu to have a server for The Realm or thinks they can make one over the weekend i know most of the game data is stored on the game install not server side like wow and a whole lot less complex... or even if you know what programs are being used to capture / view / edit and send packets to/from any software client Really dying for a server for that game and i know theres alot of smart people out there with a couple hours to kill and a good compiler.

Thanks much

Wireshark

C++ with sockets :)

But my advise: Forget it. Start programming with a own simple game, maybe without graphic or just 2d simple grafic. Like PacMan :D
Try out the LoE ArcEmu World database. Please visit dev.LandOfElves.net.
