Lua Libs Not Loading!

Hi all! Been running arcemu for a couple of days on my mac and everything is running smoothly! I noticed from various people that have tested it so far that bosses do not work properly and certain NPC's do not function properly as well. I have discovered that these bossess and NPC's execute LUA scripts. So i copied all the LUA scripts from the source into the scripts folder in the server root. They still do not execute! Turns out that arcemu-world isnt even loading libLUA (which IS compiled in the ../lib folder). I do have the LUA flag set to 1 in the world.conf file but whenever I start up the arcemu-world program it does not output it has loaded the library. Anyone else have issues like this?

Hello People!

Hi guys, well its recommended for each one of us to post something about ourselves to get started. Well my name is Mikel, AKA Faelor100, i have been playing WoW for over 3 years now. I have played Retail and other private funservers. I have always wanted to learn how to use ArcEmu, and with this I get to the point that I am new... I have no idea at all about arcemu, or how it works, or how to install or how to create my own private server. I would extremely appreciate if any of you guys could give me feedback on how to use this cool progam (i have seen it in action =P) and any advice and small short tutorials on how to create my own server... well thats all for now, i hope that some of you will answer and help me, and share your experience, because i am sure that many of u started where i am right now... well thats all. I look foward on posting some more and hopefully in a near future to help other people too.

The Weirdness!

Hi all, and let me say so far, that being the very first to try out a WoW daemon I chose ArcEmu! SO far i am extremely pleased! I successfully compiled the latest version on my macbook pro and I have people in my house playing on it now! A couple of things I have noticed though and was wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction. I noticed that whenever I do .mod hp # # the value doesn't save when I log out. Everyone else in the house experience the same issue. Stats like agility doesn't get updated too as well! I have checked the WIKI and various posts here and not a single mention of this issue. Oh and get this! If i modify the HP in the "characters" table it reverts back to the same HP amount! THe HP I am adding is well below the HP limit in the world.conf file. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? Or maybe it is just some WEIRDNESS going on my part! Thanks for readaaaaang! -John

Wiki Enhancements

Greetings ArcEmu users.

As requested by me in http://arcemu.org/fo...=1 the wiki has undergone some changes you should all know about.

SyntaxHighlight_GeSHi has been added to the wiki, which means you may now highlight code like the forums do, or any text type editor - this was mainly focused at the forces of wow-v which have helped us greatly by documenting the many functions of the scripting engine.

To use this new addition (read the link above too) type this when editing a page

<source lang="lua">

function example
();

</source>

This is much prettier and readable then just using <pre>

I have also added collapsible objects. They will function as a bullet you may click on to show or hide a section of a page, making things a little neater.
To use it:

{{Collapse|Internalname|Hai2u|Stuff that goes inside the object here}}

Please see: Template:Collapse

Change Internalname to something appropriate >THAT WILL NOT CONFLICT WITH OTHER OBJECTS<

In addition I am going hard to work editing and performing maintenance on the many pages that need it, any requests for page moving/renaming or deletion can go through me via forum PM or IRC.

NOTE TO ALL WIKI EDITORS:
Please assist me in categorizing YOUR pages, please find your category in Special:Categories or create one if you did not find one that was appropriate for your page.
Adding a category to your page is as simple as adding [[Category:MyCategory]] to the bottom of your page.
-- Also please refrain from signing("~~~~") your edits, as we know who created the page from the page history. A wiki is a place of multiple editors, this discourages other editors from editing your page.

Logon Server Witch Allowes More Than One Ip.

Hello,

Im trying to run an logon server with more than one world witch are located on different pc's with different ip's
example:
world 1 : 123.123.123.123
world 2 : 111.111.111.111
these both should connect to logon server: 1.1.1.1

so i asked on mirc for some help. they told me to change my logon.conf on the bottom:

AllowedIPs = "0.0.0.0/1"
AllowedModIPs = "127.0.0.1/32">

But still my logon server gives an error if i connect with the world.exe from my own pc to the logon witch is located on my VPS.
Error:
Server connection from *.*.*.*:PORT DENIED, not an allowed IP.

Configs:
World.conf

[intro]

I've played WoW for about 5 years.
I came across the private server world about 3 years ago.
At first, I just played on some of the private servers of the day.
After that, I was GM/Admin on some of the less known servers.
Then, about 2 years ago, I began to develop.
I have a good understanding of LUA and now I am focusing on learning
C++ with the help of the C++ Recommended Reading List (Thanks to Hasbro and those who contributed to the list, much appreciated ) so that I can do core development.
I'm past pointers at the moment (Lol.), but I know I have a lot of learning to do to be able to be a good core developer.

I like forums, so you will see me often, be it trying to help in the support forums or just hanging around.
So, I hope I can make lots of friends here.

[easy Fix] Vendor Restriction

Patch Title: Vendor Restriction fix
What bug does this patch fix: When you are bloodelf you can now buy orc mounts without being exalted or with some other db, you can only buy mounts when you are exalted even your own faction mounts and that is both wrong.
Detailed Explanation: someone used a int8 (for some reason) in comperison with an int32, the racemask is sometimes to big for int8 so it did not work properly.
How to reproduce: buy some other faction mounts, apply, see that now you need exalted with other factions but you can still buy your own faction mounts.

you need the npc flags of the vendors to be 128 (nothing else) and vendor restriction table set up properly

Patch Title: MPQE Extractor bat fix
What bug does this patch fix: in the old bat, the wow directory just got search for mpq extensions with no order stuff at all, which caused new DBCs to be overwriten by Old ones, since the Patch-enGB.mpq and Patch-enGB-3.mpq both contained DBCs like "BattlemasterListEntry" But the one in Patch-enGB.mpq with 35 Columns and the Patch-enGB.mpq with 32 (3.3.3 Stcutrured) Columns,
Detailed Explanation: We can now remove the comments from battlemasterlistentry bcus now he will actually extract the New DBCs (3.3.3) instead of the old ones.
How to reproduce: Use the old one, Faction lookup didnt work, Battlemasterlist would crash server on startup when not comented

Connection Problems [please Help]

Hello everyone!

I'm having this connection problem, when I'm trying to connect to the server, when it's live - I get stuck on "Logging in to Game server" No idea why this happens.

I have forwarded all necessary ports, disabled my firewall, and done everything right in the config files, etc.

Something must be wrong configured... I will post the text in my configs;
